Meet Miss Meg And Hear About Her Story

Meg's story is quite unique.  Meg became apart of our life when her caretaker could no longer provide for her.  Her owner had to enter a nursing home and there was no family member that could take her.  For many of us, this may be a long ways off, but for those of us who are aging more rapidly than some it's not too far in the distant future.

When Meg's owner was first placed into the nursing home we made a point to take Meg to visit her once a week.  This thrilled her owner as well as Meg.  She would visit with many of the residents and became a household name at the home.  Unfortunately, the trips had to cease due to her owner's failing health.  By this time, Meg had completely adapted to her new home and was provided all the love, care and attention she needed along with some Boston siblings.

Meg's owner soon passed away and there were no more trips to the nursing home.  As time passed, Meg became more social with her new family and not that she forgot about her owner but as they say- time heals all wounds.

Miss Meg is enjoying her life in North Carolina and receives all the love she desires.

Most of us do not like to think about planning for an emergency situation or what may happen if we may pass away before our pets.  All pet owners should devise a plan to make sure your pets are cared for when you are no longer here.  This will save time, money and stress on family members.  The worst thing is to have a pet be placed into a shelter after a tragedy has happened.  Be prepared and make provisions for this time if it should happen.  Trust me- you and your pet(s) will thank you.

    An animal lover,

    Sally
