Hi!  I want to introduce myself formally, my name is Melissa Wainscott and I have been with Pethealth as a member of the PetPoint Customer Support team since December 2007.  I am thrilled to have this opportunity to help everyone out with supporting the PetPoint animal data management program through the PetPoint Implementation, the Help Desk, and the Community.  This not only gives us a chance to get to know one another personally, or at least more than we do through our iregular everyday work, it also allows us to talk about non-computer related issues in the Animal Welfare world.  I will be a moderator on the PetPoint boards, and available via the community site or my regular email address, melissaw@petpoint.com and I am here for whatever you need.  Big or small, important or unimportant, nothing is not worth asking!

My background in the small and furry world has come from my time spent working for veterinary hospitals, both in Texas and Illinois.  I spent just shy of 7 years attending to the front desk, the veterinary technician duties assigned to me, and operating the hospital's inventory and computer systems and website.  We used many applications that were provided on the web with training very similar to what you go through when you sign up for PetPoint.  The implementation part of your setup - all of the administrative duties and early training - is my favorite part of my job.  Especially when we get to enter animal's photos and medical history for them!

I have two kitties and you can see in my pictures on this site or on their own pages on PawsConnect.com.  I also have many other animals in my life from my family's pets to the little guys I became attached to while working at the vet.  I put up pictures of them all, I couldn't pick just a few!  One of my friends is a very talented pet photographer so I need to give credit on the pictures to Olivia Stephano.  During my free time I enjoy traveling, singing and dancing, spending time with my friends and family, and catching movies or television shows that I am hooked on (Lost and So You Think You Can Dance are my addictions).  I also enjoy doing anything outside when the weather is nice, especially near or on the water.
