I have recently take a big step in my life and moved from West Palm Beach, Fl where I worked for the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League for almost 5 years to Atlanta where I am the Foster Program Coordinator/ Lead Animal Intake Specialist. I have to admit I was terrified of what I was getting myself into! After being here for almost 4 months it has been such as experience to not only to live the "Big City" lifestyle but to work in the Animal industry in a city, some of the things done here are the same but a lot of things are done differently, I cannot express the things I have learned in my short time here. It has been an exciting and overwhelming experience. So what this blog is meant to say is get out there and visit other shelters, talk to rescue groups.... you never know what you will learn from one another... Petpoint also has a lot of great features at your fingertips and everybody uses them differently to benefit their needs so you never know what knowledge someone may have that will make your job more efficient.
