It is with much sadness and a great sense of loss that we learned of the passing of Victoria Wellens, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Humane Society. We at Pethealth have lost a very dear friend, and animals throughout North America have lost one of their greatest champions. We know that all of you will want to join us in offering our sympathies to Victoria's family and the staff at Wisconsin Humane Society. Pethealth will be donating $1 for every pet insurance policy sold in the U.S. in April to the Wisconsin Humane Society in her name. Many people might not know that Wisconsin Humane Society was the very first shelter to run PetPoint. Victoria signed on before development even started! With WHS's direct participation in the design, PetPoint was created. So, I believe Victoria's impact on the animal welfare community doesn't just include the work of WHS. Her legacy includes the over 3 million animals cared for (so far) in organizations running PetPoint.
