About This Group

ALL who are interested in rescuing/ foster dogs are welcome! Our mission educational support ~ to save as many as possible!

Many times people will foster dogs & do nothing more for them. This list (with respect) is not for them. Again, ALL ways are welcomed for discussion that do not harm the dog. Negative responses/judgements/sarcasm, etc will not be allowed.

Most of the time, dogs abandoned are seen as problem dogs. This baggage is left for someone else to solve - or euthanize the dog.

We work here together to find unique solutions, shared resources and skills to empower each other to greater successes in our efforts - no matter the skill or knowledge level.

We exist to help interested volunteers learn additional methods and solutions about how to help dogs move quickly from rescue into adoption by teaching obedience, behavior & socialization skills in home environments that can be used in these dogs new forever homes!

Many people are afraid to get involved with fostering, afraid to become attached, or afraid they will become over whelmed or even to be "stuck" with the dog.

We have solutions with all these challenges & more. Learn how to "market" special needs or dogs with more challenging adoption considerations, use advanced behavior & socialization skills, set up short term fostering, work with multiple dogs, use “good dog” to teach “new dog”, help prepare a dog to become a Therapy Dog or pass Canine Good citizen award.

Many of us have learned/used Nat Geo Channel’s Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan solutions successfully to save last chance dogs. All techniques/solutions that do not harm the dog are welcomed. We seek to add our efforts to the national rescue model Best Friends (DogTown).

This does NOT mean that you need to take the worst or problem cases. Every dog in a shelter is at risk of euthanasia so, every dog WE get out of shelters, gives them a chance at a good life.

No room for more dogs? Help us market special needs and other animals with your abilities, hobbies and passions!

Use your computer skills to market dogs that don’t show well at adoptathons,~ help with multistate rescue transportations, ~home visits, ~bring your dog handler skills to a rescue/shelter, or facilitating new dog introductions into new homes to help reduce return rate to rescues, when new adopted dog & new family are not a good match.

Old or new to the art of rescue or fostering? Welcome! List Moderated.
